Heysea Yachts currently has 12 projects under construction ranging from 17m-43m with delivery scheduled for 2017 and 2018.
With four of these new build projects in the 30m-plus segment, the Chinese shipyard is determined to make a mark in the superyacht sector.
Founded in 2007, the company is headquartered in Xinhui District,Jiangmen, Guangdong province, in southern China.
The shipyard employs nearly 300 full time staff and operates a 66,700sq m production facility including 63,720sq m of hard standing area including office building, covered workshops, wharehouse, dormitory and basketball court, entertainment areas etc. In addition, Heysea Yachts have fully equipped slip way and quay.

Speaking to IBI‘s sister tittle Superyacht Business, CEO Fang Yuan explains: “Heysea Yachts is capable to produce yachts up to 60m and could build more than 10 units at one time.”
42m catamaran currently under construction is the largest project in Heysea’s order book to date. “The second largest project we have built is the 33m (108ft) Heysea Asteria and we have already delivered six units,” she adds.
Product line 生产线
Heysea Yachts produces motoryachts ranging from 17m-50m across seven product lines.
Besides boatbuilding and after sales services, Heysea Yachts has the capacity to provide repair, refit and maintenance to vessels. “A 24m (82ft) yacht is currently at the shipyard for refit work,” comments Yuan.
CEO Yuan believes that the Asteria 95 and 108, the Zoom 58 and 76, the Heysea 115 alongside its catamaran and other superyachts projects in the pipeline will allow the brand to make headway in international markets.

Commenting on the business strategy, CEO Yuan explains that the company’s focus is on being able to product high quality vessels at a competitive price.
“During 2016 we have been able to provide a high degree of customisation for interior designs with a comprehensive one-stop service thanks to our strong R&D abilities,” she says.

Yuan also told SB that the company plans to improve its facilities including a series of investments. “For 2017 we have plans to build a brand-new woodwork shop with new carpentry machines. The investment also includes the upgrade of our interior painting room with non-dust treatment.”
In addition, Heysea aims to expand its dealer network, particularly in Europe, Middle East and Singapore. The company recently signed a partnership with Ensign Ship Brokers to represent its product line in Australia and New Zealand.
