Chinese yard Heysea Yachts has teamed up with American brokerage firm Atlantic Yacht & Ship for a new 35 metre all-GRP motor yacht called the Atlantic 115 .
Built to MCA and RINA standards, this raised pilothouse design was developed in collaboration with Jure Bukavec of Uniellè Yacht Design and will be delivered to an American client next year.
The Atlantic 115 has a 7.92 metre beam
Accommodation is for up to 12 guests split across five staterooms and a convertible Cabana-style beach club, but the main-deck master cabin is undoubtedly the pick of the bunch as it benefits from 270-degree panoramic views out to sea. The yard adds that the design allows for this area to be replaced by a country kitchen on future hulls if required, with the owner’s suite moving amidships on the lower deck.
Atlantic Yacht & Ship consulted with many captains, both from charter yachts and private yachts, and this informed the design process, from the 2.43 metre headroom in the main saloon to the structural keg keel, which protects the propellers, rudders and stabilisers. Other key features include an Opacmare Transformer swim platform, a spacious superyacht sundeck and crew accommodation for a staff of up to five people.
Power will come from a pair of 1,950hp Caterpillar C32 engines for a top speed of 24 knots and a cruising range of 2,000 nautical miles at 20 knots, thanks to a total fuel capacity of 24,000 litres.
The news of this project comes just three months after Heysea Yachts announced the sale of its new-build 41 metre motor yacht project FRP 135, which is due to launch in autumn 2019.
